Grammy Award winning musician, song writer and music producer Narada Michael Walden will participate in this weekend’s Content, Creation and Distribution Expo in Downtown Loomis.

This weekend it’s all about entertainment and how to create, produce, and make money on music, films and videos using new technology – and it’s all free.

The Content, Creation and Distribution Expo will be held this Friday, Sept. 16, and Saturday, Sept. 17, in downtown Loomis. Free nonstop entertainment from morning to afternoon and free speakers, panel discussions and workshops will give the do-it yourself video, movie or music producer all the how-tos they’ll need to be successful.

According to expo organizer, Peter Oakes, there are programs by and for musicians, song-writers, scriptwriters and camera operators that tell how to do it. And in order to make money on the finished product, there are programs on writing a business and marketing plan, self-promotion, using social media and networks, and using the internet to sell the end product.

Eric Chun, a musician, producer, artist, writer, and teacher, is the director of the music industry portion of the Expo. He said the Expo “combines digital technology with the business of producing film and music.”

Loomis to Hold Benefit Concerts this Weekend to Help Finish Community Park Stage. 

LOOMIS, CALIFORNIA,  September 12, 2011 -  While many cities around the country are having to cut back and reduce services, Loomis residents and businesses are stepping up to build a new community stage in the Blue Anchor Park in downtown Loomis.  The stage has been built so far with donations and volunteer help including using recycled materials from an old pole barn that was in the local area for years.  Nearly completed, the Blue Anchor Stage is going to be used for summer concerts, plays, and many other community events that benefit the local area.  

The Benefit Concerts will be held on the new stage beginning Thursday night, September 15th, with Superlicious, an 80’s review band.  Friday night is The Parrotheads, the country’s favorite Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band.  Saturday night is Pablo Cruise, the legendary band from the 70s and 80s, introducing a new DVD that was filmed in Loomis in 2010.  

The concerts are part of the CCD Expo happening September 16th and 17th in the the town of Loomis offering Free Live Entertainment, as well as State of the Art Panel Discussions on Movie and Video Production, Music Creation, Social Network Marketing and more.
